MIKE BARLOW MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT 2009

Dear Secretary/Manager,

It’s Tournament time again and Parkwyddn JFC would like to extend an invitation to your club to enter our annual event. If your club has entered before you will be aware that our tournament has become more popular each year and as well as attracting clubs from the local area, we have also had entries from the whole of the North of England and Wales. As well as a successful football competition we try to make our event a fun day out for all the family.

We are also offering a discount on the entrance fees for clubs who put in multiple entries.

Clubs who enter more than four teams will receive free entry for every fifth team. For example, five teams entered, 5th team free. Ten teams’ entered, 5th and 10th teams free.

The Tournament will be held on SATURDAY 13st JUNE 2009, and SUNDAY 14th JUNE 2009.

The venue will be St Patrick’s High School, Guildford Road, Winton, Eccles, Manchester M30 7JF.

Teams:

Teams are to be 6-a-side, with two substitutes from a named, registered squad of maximum 8 players.

All teams to be registered by 09:30am latest for a 10:00am start. For the purpose of defining the age groups the qualification will be as of Season 2008/2009. Qualification of players is 1st September for all age groups.

All clubs must be FA affiliated and games will be played generally under FA Rules. Tournament rules will be available approximately two weeks prior to the event.

Trophies will be awarded for winners, runners up, and medals for 3rd place and 4th place.

Entries must be received by 5th June 2009, the fee being £30.00 per team.

We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to our annual 5-A-Side competition.

For those of you that have been before you will know that this is probably the biggest and most well organised event in the area which provides the opportunity for over 1800 children to participate in football.

Squads are of 7 players maximum (5 playing + 2 subs that can be rolled on and off)

Boys Event

There will be separate competitions for ‘A’ teams and ‘B’ teams.
A winner’s cup will be presented and every single player will receive a trophy.
As at last year’s event we are insisting that you bring two teams to the event.
One ‘A’ team and one ‘B’ team (The definition of ‘A’ team is your strongest 5-a-side team and your ‘B’ team your weaker team regardless of whether they still may play for your 11-a-side ‘A’ team ).
Any team found to be playing their stronger team in the ‘B’ team competition will be disqualified from the event
The entry fee for this event is £23 per team.
There will be 12 ‘A’ teams and 12 ‘B’ teams per age group.

Girls Event

Each age group will consist of 12 teams playing in 2 groups of 6.
You can enter one team or more to this event. If you enter more than one team they will be placed in different groups.
As at the boys events there will be trophies for all that participate at the event.
Entry to this event is £23 per team.

Under 6’s Event

We also run on the Sunday afternoon an Under 6’s none competitive event which last year had 24 teams playing.
The FA will not sanction this event but we feel this is a great chance for these young players to get their first taste of football so we will continue to run it again.
If you have an Under 6’s section and would like them to enter please contact us for an application form.
Entry to the Under 6’s event is £20 per team.

Confirmation of entry into the event will be by our website where we will add your name when we receive your application.
Receipts will only be sent out if requested on your application form.
An information pack will then be sent out about three weeks before the event.

FLEETWOOD GYM JFC TOURNAMENT

Dear, Manager/Secretary,
We would like to invite your entry to our annual Summer Tournament to be held at Fleetwood Sports Collage on Saturday/Sunday 6th / 7th June 2009. This is our 8th Annual tournament and promises to be bigger and better than ever. This year we have made some changes from last year. The main one being that this year the under 10’s will play 11 aside football so they can get ready for their September league. Also our tournament now starts at U6’s. This year we have also introduced a U12 and U14 Girls competition and Under 13’s Boys
The under 6’s, 7's, 8’s, 9’s will play 7 aside while the under 10’s, 11’s, 12’s, 13’s, U12’s Girls and U14’s Girls will play 11 a side. We will limit it to 10 teams per age group, although this can be increased at the discretion of the tournament organizers depending on the response. Copies of the rules can be downloaded from our website. The tournament will have a preliminary round of 2 leagues, with the top 2 team from each league entering the semi-final and the 3rd and 4th competing in a plate semi-final. Some of the age groups will play on astro-turf so will need trainers, we will notify all clubs who will be playing on the astro-turf. All children in the U6’S, U7's and U8's will receive a medal / trophy for taking part.
Entry fees are £35 per team or two for £60 in the same age group, and clubs can enter a maximum of two teams per age group. The application form enclosed and you remittance should reach the Tournament Co-ordinator no later than 1st of May 2009.
No academy teams/players are eligible to take part. Any teams found using academy players face being disqualified.

Plase note completed entry forms and payment is not a guarantee of entry of FGCYP Tournament. Successful applicants will be informed. Sponsorship,

The League is looking for sponsorship, the main sponsors will remain as T2000 but we would be interested to here from any Company who would like to be a sponsor of the League.
This could be in the way of sponsorship of the handbooks were the Company would have there Company logo and details on the front and through the books Cup final can also be sponsored but just the main Cup. other sponsorship could be in the form of sponsorship of League or Leagues within the adjfl.

The Company would have a link from our web site direct to the Company.

Club web site

Any Clubs who do not have there own web site I can reccomend the one that the League uses, its so easy to manage that I can manage to get round it. Advantages, if the League apends any notice etc., on the web site it will be an automatic update on your Clubs web site.

Sure your players would welcome any initiative you may wish to take and allow then to post items of interest on the web site.
